In order to effectively improve the political quality of new teachers and establish good professional ethics, the college held a 5-day intensive training for new faculty members from August 29 to September 2, 2022.
At the training meeting, Zhang Fuhua, a member of the Party Committee of the college and director of the Organization and Personnel Office, made a training mobilization speech. He expressed a warm welcome to all the new colleagues and introduced in detail the history, development planning and effectiveness of the college. Zhang Fuhua pointed out that, first, we should integrate into the college as soon as possible, change our identity and cultivate noble teacher's morality. To adhere to the virtue of the body, take the lead in promoting socialist morality and traditional Chinese virtues, influence and drive students with their exemplary behavior, help students to establish a correct world view, outlook on life and values, and be "ideal beliefs, moral sentiments, solid knowledge, a benevolent heart" of the four good teachers. The second is to teach and educate people, practice the basic skills. Consider every class as their primary task and professional duty, and effectively lead students to set a great ambition, understand the virtues, become a great talent, and take on a great responsibility. Third, we must have the "greatness of our country" in mind and do a good job of career development planning. New teachers should be concerned about "national affairs" and "national responsibility", and train new people who can take on great responsibilities for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. They should seize the golden period of career development, aim high and be down-to-earth, do something and do not do anything, and do a good job of personal career development planning.
In the training session, the Organizational and Personnel Office, the Academic Affairs Office and the Student Work and Security Office conducted training for new faculty and staff on topics such as college management rules and regulations, teacher ethics, classroom teaching norms and student education management. Some excellent classroom teachers and excellent teacher representatives exchanged and shared their teaching experiences and conducted demonstration classes.
The new faculty members have expressed that the training is rich in content and very practical, which not only helps them deepen their understanding of the college, enhance their cultural identity and sense of belonging, but also further clarify their professional norms, job responsibilities and career goals. Next, they will do a good job of career planning, take up the important task of establishing moral education, and live up to their original mission.
