In late October 2021, our college held the intra-college selection competition of the Third Vocational Ability Competition for Teachers of Technical Colleges in Weihai City, and a total of 14 teachers were selected to participate in the Third Vocational Ability Competition for Teachers of Technical Colleges in Weihai City held on October 28. The competition lasted for 2 days and 52 teachers from 6 technical colleges in the city participated in the competition. Ms. Wang Xiaodong won the first prize in machinery category, Ms. Li Lin won the first prize in finance and commerce category, Ms. Dong Lijun won the first prize in culture, art and synthesis category, Ms. Li Shanshan won the first prize in student management category, Ms. Zhao Liya won the second prize in transportation category, Ms. He Xiaodan won the second prize in service category, Ms. Wang Junmiao won the second prize in student management category, and Ms. Zhou Yan won the third prize in culture, art and synthesis category.
The competition is divided into 10 categories including mechanical, electrical and electronic, information, transportation, service, finance and commerce, industrial and agricultural, culture and art and comprehensive, public, and student management. The first, second and third prizes in each category will be awarded to one person each, and the first player in each category will be recommended to participate in the Third Provincial Technical College Teachers' Professional Competitiveness Competition.
The competition mainly measures the teaching and education ability of teachers in technical colleges and universities. The content of the competition includes three parts: curriculum standard design, teaching program design, lecture and defense. The first two parts are submitted in the form of text, and on the basis of the text of teaching program design, the participating teachers will conduct on-site lecture and defense with multimedia courseware.
The competition aims to advocate the concept of integrated curriculum teaching reform in technical education, highlight student-centered and competence-based, focus on cultivating students' comprehensive quality and vocational ability, comprehensively strengthen the construction of teachers in technical colleges and universities, promote the healthy development of technical education, and contribute to the cultivation of innovative, application-oriented and skillful talents. It is hoped that the teachers can make up for their shortcomings through the competition, improve their shortcomings, study integrated teaching methods, improve comprehensive teaching ability, and further enhance the overall quality and vocational ability of the teachers' team in our technical colleges.
